Case Study | Sam’s Club × Pinston Floor Scrubbers: Commercial Cleaning Solutions for Large Retail Stores

Customer Scenario

Sam’s Club operates a large retail environment with two main cleaning areas: the sales floor and the underground parking garage.

The sales floor features densely arranged shelves and winding aisles, while the underground parking garage has large open areas with numerous parking spaces and structural columns. Together, these areas create a complex commercial cleaning environment with high foot traffic and different cleaning requirements.

For this project, Pinsidun delivered three SA660 compact ride-on floor scrubbers and two SA760PRO medium-sized ride-on floor scrubbers. The machines were assigned to different cleaning zones to handle the daily floor cleaning of both the retail area and the underground parking garage.

Cleaning Challenges

1. High-Traffic Retail Environment

The sales floor experiences heavy foot traffic and a wide range of floor stains. Daytime cleaning requires low-noise operation, while narrow aisles between shelves make it difficult for larger cleaning machines to maneuver efficiently.

2. Demanding Underground Parking Areas

The underground parking garage is exposed to sand, dirt, tire marks, and oil stains. Its large floor area requires floor scrubbers with reliable cleaning performance and sufficient battery runtime for extended cleaning tasks.

3. Ease of Operation and After-Sales Support

Cleaning staff have different levels of equipment experience, so the machines need to be easy to learn and operate. Reliable local after-sales support and a stable supply of consumables are also essential for long-term daily operation.

Pinsidun Floor Scrubber Solution

Based on an on-site assessment, Pinsidun adopted a combination of compact and medium-sized ride-on floor scrubbers to meet the different cleaning requirements of the retail floor and underground parking garage.

3 × SA660 Compact Ride-On Floor Scrubbers – Retail Area

Three SA660 units were deployed on the sales floor. Their compact and maneuverable design makes them well suited for navigating narrow aisles and areas between shelves. With dual-brush cleaning and a working efficiency of up to 5,500 m²/h, the SA660 also features an ECO low-noise mode, making it suitable for routine cleaning during business hours.

2 × SA760PRO Medium-Sized Ride-On Floor Scrubbers – Underground Parking Garage

Two SA760PRO units were assigned to the underground parking garage. Equipped with an LCD control panel, a high-pressure water gun cleaning kit, and large-capacity solution and recovery tanks, the machines are designed for extended cleaning operations and demanding floor conditions such as tire marks, dirt, and other stubborn stains.

Delivery, Commissioning & Operator Training

The local service provider completed equipment delivery and commissioning and provided hands-on training for the cleaning staff. The training covered machine operation, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting. After commissioning and inspection, all five floor scrubbers were successfully put into daily operation.
